Born in Tel Aviv in 1932. As a youth in 1947-50 he studied with the sculptor Moshe Sternschuss. From 1950-53 he worked as a shepherd in Kibbutz Ma'ayan Baruch and Kvuzat Yizre'el. In 1954 he studied with the sculptor Rudi Lehmann and then attended St Martin's School of Art ; Slade School of Art, University of London during the years 1959-60. Kadishman returned to Israel in 1972 and now lives in Tel Aviv. He has received many honors and awards and in 1974 received an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy from the Tel Aviv University and was made an Honorary Citizen of Tel Aviv. He has had numerous personal and group exhibitions in Israel and all over the world.
