Born in Poland 1911. Immigrated to Israel 1934. Studied at the Berlin Acadamy of Art. Using oil and gauche techniques
he painted landscapes and still life, but primarily women's portraits. He belonged to the New Horizons group of Israeli artists. Received the Dizengoff prize in 1942,1951 and 1961.In his later days, he painted powerful abstract landscapes
which were considered to be some of his best works in terms of technique. Died 1974
